Our money horse fell.

{Ed001's Note - got to ask, just in case there are others on here as ignorant as myself regarding betting, what is a money horse?}

Hi 001 It's the horse all the MONEY is going on hope that helps (Y)

{Ed001's Note - what money? Sorry I am really clueless when it comes to betting.}

ED001 it is the horse that attracts the most money from the people who are betting. Bookmakers do not like lots of money going on one horse so they "lay" it ie place a bet ON the money horse with another bookmaker so if the money horse wins they do not lose too much.

All the horses in a race Ed ok . Then someone gets a nod or a wink in a certain direction THEN Most of the money being betted GOES on that horse aka THE MONEY HORSE (Y) hope that is a better explanation.

Got you, I understand that. My mate is from a family of bookies so he has explained laying bets etc, but I had never heard the term money horse. It sounded like you were saying you had put all your money on it without the explanation, so I am glad I asked or I would have been getting it wrong.

ED001 each day the Oddschecker site puts up a horse that most of the people are betting on, Oddschecker search all the bookmakers to find this "Money Horse"
I will be putting up their Money Horse on here every day, so far since I started we are 2 out of 3 winners.

{Ed001's Note - ok cheers, I think I get it now.}

A better guide Ed is if you are watching a race and there is a big price shift ie it starts at 10-1 and comes in to 5-1 every one wants to know why and see how well it goes that is why you here the commentary says" The money spoke" everyone lamps on in the belief that someone knows something lol as Tim would tell you it does not always pan out like that but as Tim says it rattles the bookies (y)

{Ed001's Note - ah ok that reminds me of a story me Grandad told me when he was working as a St Johns man at Aintree. One of the jockeys (and this was back in the 60s) gave him a few hundred quid and asked him to put money on a horse for him. Me grandad and his brother thought he must know something so gathered together all their pennies to put on it too. The horse was dead last and when he collared the jockey afterwards the guy said he just wanted to boost the price of the horse he was riding in that race.}

Knowledge is everything Ed, A would not be surprised if our Ed new a connection at Hamilton races

The next thing you look for is " local connections" ie someone based say running at Wolverhampton based in Birmingham if the money talks you lamp on, or if a jockey turns up at a meeting to ride ONE horse 🐴 that day all wee tell tale signs

In our live chat I offered everyone there money back that took my tip and LOST within reason at the grand national. thankfully it won and yip it had Scottish connections 😏😉.

{Ed001's Note - interesting cheers mate.}
