Goshen or Solo in the first tomorrow folks? Goshen has been really impressive, but watching his races back he really does have a tendency to run down his hurdles, sometimes startlingly to the right. Solo could be anything. I think Goshen, but if Solo is upsides him over the last couple, I suspect his straighter, more accurate hurdling will win it for him. Goshen just looks like an ex-flat horse over his hurdles.

Hoping Goshen does the business as in several ante post bets.
However all 4 at top of the market could easily win allmankind, goshen, solo or aspire tower.

An interesting runner at a massive price is HOOK UP (33/ 1) did well on debut and interesting that thrown in here on second start, also read somewhere recently that keen for her to take her chance in it.

Gutted with Minella Indo yesterday, but was always gambling that Champ would make a big error or two. Last minute change of mind paid off with Aramix at 11/ 1, so kept my nose in front with two days gone.

I'm loathe to go against Min, but APT is a beast of an animal, and I thought 15/ 8 was a fair price. Might even be longer by the off.

Minella let me down yesterday, but the other Minella runs in the Mare's novice, and I think she'll make up for yesterday's disappointment at 7/ 2 or thereabouts.

Itchy Feet is the last one in today's treble. Too many question marks over Faugheen and Samcro for me. Itchy is the solid if unspectacular one for me at 9/ 2.

I'll probably play a bit in the handicaps. Third Wind and Skandiburg in the Pertemps, and Not Another Muddle and Death Duty in the Brown Advisory.

Good luck, folks.

Can't believe I went against Samcro, after writing earlier in the week how he was supposedly flying at home. Great race.

Main bet today - Minella Indo.

Like Canardier and Protektorat in the Coral, and either of Nicholls' horses in the Boodles. The rest are just watching races for me.

Although, I remember Elliott at one of the previews, mentioning how much Pipe thought of Israel Champ in the bumper, so maybe a wee e/ w bet on him as well 😁.

Just some horses that were mentioned in a few of the preview nights that I've been to over here in Ireland. Mostly Irish trainers/ jocks/ pundits, so they all think the Irish will win every race! :)

Samcro reportedly flying at home. Envoi Allen will not be beat. De Bromhead very bullish about A Plus Tard, however, supposedly the stable staff at Mullins' yard all have their double as Min and Appreciate it. I can't choose between them myself.

General feeling is that Supasundae is a great e/ w bet for the CH, which I do agree with. Got him at 20s earlier in the season, and he's half the price now. Very average CH. Discorama and Ellwood were both regularly mentioned for the Ultima - Elliott thinks Ellwood is a great e/ w bet - currently around 18/ 1. Discorama would be one of my stronger fancies for this week. Elliott also thinks Asterion in the Supreme is the horse to get past.

General feeling as well that Allhao should have ran in the Marsh Chase, rather than the RSA.

Like all these info evenings, you can take it all with a big pinch of salt, but thought I'd throw it in there.

My own bets for day 1, for what it's worth, are Asterion Forlonge, Fakir D'Oudairies/ Global Citizen, Discorama, Supasundae ante-post, probably back Mullins' horse as well in the big one, Hold the Note and Springfield Fox.

Good luck everyone!

Really hope Springfield fox does the business as on at 150/ 1 ante post - however like the look of both Newtide and in particular LAMANVER PIPPIN - saw this one win at Chepstow and did it easily.
Same race card that THE BIG BREAKAWAY won on and he was mightily impressive - will be backing against envoi Allen in the ballymore.
Will double the two Tizzard horses up.
Also fancy fiddlerontheroof in the supreme with the ground coming in his favour - Irish potentially have some strong novices but Robbie power who has ridden both sides of the Irish Sea is convinced British novices are stronger this season.
Each way patent on the 3 Tizzard horses mentioned for me

As most of said - fingers crossed we can take some money of the bookies these 4 days.

I think his own mistake at the fence cost him his place. As soon as he fell back a little, Davy Russell moved right across beside Melon, leaving Faugheen in a pocket. Don't know if you can really blame Townend. The horse gave his all, but he's 12 years old. I don't think he was getting past the front two, even without the mistake.

Good day. First day always is. It's the other three that are the problem.
